The Pathwork Tissue of Origin Test must be ordered by a physician. The following are examples of scenarios in which the test may be beneficial:

• The cancer is found in an unexpected location.
• The tumor cells are poorly differentiated or undifferentiated, making them difficult to interpret.
• The cancer is found in multiple locations, demonstrating metastatic disease without a clear primary.

2. Follow instructions in the Pathwork Tissue of Origin Test Shipping Kit to prepare, qualify and ship the frozen specimen(s) and the completed Test Requisition Form(s) to Pathwork Diagnostics Laboratory. Use the Specimen Packing and Shipping Checklist provided with the Shipping Kit.
3. Pathwork Diagnostics Laboratory processes the specimen, runs the Pathwork Tissue of Origin Test and provides a report to the physician.

The report includes:

• An objective, probability-based score for each of the 15 potential tumor types
• An interpretation of the results by a Pathwork staff pathologist to support ruling in or ruling out specific tumor types
